How to cancel a Mealime subscription.

First, find who billed you.

The receipt matters more than the phone you use now. Find the latest Mealime payment email and match its date and amount to the charge. Then choose the route below. A missing subscription in one account does not establish that a purchase in another account has ended.

No receipt? Search other inboxes you used for subscriptions, then identify the billing company on your bank or card statement. Apple recommends this lookup when no Apple receipt exists. If the charge appears to be Mealime but its provider is still unclear, email hello@mealime.com, the contact listed in Mealime’s announcement. Include your Mealime account email, transaction date, amount and receipt/order reference if available.

Cancel Mealime Pro on iPhone or iPad.

1. Open Settings and tap your name.
2. Tap Subscriptions, then select Mealime.
3. Tap Cancel Subscription; scroll down if needed and finish any confirmation shown.

These are Apple’s current instructions. You can also open Apple’s subscription management on the web.

• Already cancelled: Apple says no Cancel button, or a red expiration message, means cancellation is complete. Record the displayed end date.
• Mealime missing: search email for “receipt from Apple” or “invoice from Apple” and use the account listed there.
• Family member’s receipt: that family member must cancel using their Apple Account.

Cancel a subscription billed by Google Play.

1. Open Google Play subscriptions and sign in with the purchasing Google Account.
2. Select Mealime, then Cancel subscription.
3. Finish the prompts, then review the resulting status and end date.

Mealime missing? Switch to the Google Account used for the order. If someone else bought it, ask them to inspect their subscriptions. If it already shows cancelled or expired, keep that record; you do not need to subscribe again to cancel it.

Google’s cancellation guide confirms that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription. Google normally allows access for the paid period after cancellation, but that does not promise that Mealime itself will remain available beyond its announced closure. For an unresolved Google billing record, use Google Play support.

What if you subscribed on Mealime’s website?

1. Open the official Mealime web sign-in with the email used for your web purchase.
2. Mealime’s documented route is Settings → Subscription → Cancel your subscription.
3. Complete any confirmation and save the resulting status or email.

This route comes from Mealime’s cancellation guide, updated 29 March 2021. We verified the public sign-in page, but have not tested these controls inside a signed-in account.

Can’t sign in, find Subscription or complete cancellation? Use the login recovery guide for access problems, or email Mealime billing support with the purchase details listed above and the message you see. If the receipt says Apple or Google Play, use that provider’s route even if you now use Mealime on the web.

Keep the result; request a refund separately.

Save one confirmation email or screenshot showing the subscription name, cancelled/expired status and end date. If the page still shows an active renewal, or the cancellation failed, use your provider’s support link in this guide. A deleted app, closed dialog or failed attempt is not confirmation.

An unexpected charge or a previous payment you want refunded? Match the transaction to its receipt, then use the provider that took it. Stopping renewal does not automatically refund an earlier charge.

• Apple: open Apple’s refund request page, choose a refund reason and the relevant purchase. Apple’s refund help covers missing and pending charges; Apple Support handles requests you cannot complete there.
• Google Play: use the Google Play refund request. If the order is missing, Google’s instructions also provide the website route: profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history → Report a problem on the purchase.
• Mealime web billing: send the specific transaction and your refund request to Mealime support.

Eligibility depends on the purchase and provider. Mealime’s closure announcement promises no additional fees; it does not state a blanket refund or prorated repayment policy for past subscriptions.

After cancellation.

Cancelling billing and deleting your Mealime account are separate actions. Before deleting, keep any personal recipes or notes you need; the free browser backup tool is one option for accessible recipes.

For continued meal planning, Mealime recommends Meals Hub, which it says is free and includes its recipe catalogue. In an Albertsons Companies store app, the documented entry is More → Meals Hub. This continuation is described in Mealime’s announcement; it is separate from resolving a past billing record.
