Why an old Mealime price is not today’s offer.
Search results can preserve a monthly price long after the terms behind it change. A review may quote a US price, an older subscription option or a temporary offer. That number does not tell you whether the same purchase is available in your country today. For an existing payment, the receipt and subscription screen are the useful records.
If you are researching Mealime for the first time, read the closure guide before spending time building a collection. If you already use it, keep the recipes and household routines you value while checking your account. Paying again is not a necessary first step in either task.
What did free versus Pro mean?
Mealime’s older Pro help article describes an optional upgrade with nutrition information, calorie filters, recipe notes, access to more recipes and the previous meal plan. This helps explain older reviews and familiar labels in the app; it is historical feature context, not a recommendation to subscribe now.
Separate access to a feature from information you created with it. Being able to open recipe notes does not mean those notes are included when you copy a public recipe link. Before leaving any planner, inspect your own additions and record them separately. Our Pro guide focuses on this practical inventory.
Check the subscription that actually billed you.
Find your most recent receipt and note the billing provider, account, amount, currency and date. Then open that provider’s subscription record. Keep a copy of the status and any displayed end date so you have something concrete to refer to if a later transaction needs investigating.
Our cancellation instructions cover Apple, Google Play and the documented Mealime web route. Removing the app icon, requesting account deletion and stopping a renewal are separate actions. A refund is also a separate request: a cancellation confirmation does not establish that an earlier payment has been returned.
Compare a replacement’s full cost.
Start with the features you actually use in a normal week. If you choose dinners from a catalogue, a cheap recipe organiser that requires you to find every recipe yourself may not solve the same problem. If you mainly save your own dishes, paying for a large catalogue may add little. Test the workflow before assigning value to a long feature list.

For a fair comparison, write an annual total for subscriptions you intend to keep for a year. Keep one-time purchases separate. A discounted first year should have two numbers: the introductory total and the renewal total. For groceries, compare what you buy at checkout, including full packs, rather than treating a recipe’s per-serving estimate as a shopping bill.
Keep switching costs small.
Begin with three reliable dinners, not your entire saved collection. Make a readable copy of each, record the serving size and try the next planner’s supported import route. This exposes missing quantities or awkward setup before you commit more time.
